We report about design, fabrication and properties of the optical multimode polymer planar large core waveguides and splitters. The waveguides and splitters proposal were done for input/output standard 1 mm plastic optical fiber for operation wavelength532 nm and 650 nm and for 1 mm FG910LEC optical fiber for operation in infra red region. The designs were done by using ray tracing and beam propagation method. We design these structures on various UV photopolymer core waveguide layers such norland optical adhesives glue and epoxy novolak resin polymer and on poly(methyl methacrylate), poly(methylmethacry-limide) or polydimetylsiloxane substrates. The measurement of optical insertion losses proved that the best 1x2 POF splitters had insertion optical losses around 2.7 dB at 532 nm and 4.1 dB at 650 nm. Splitters with FG910LEC fibers had insertion optical losses lower than 4 dB at 850 and 1310 nm.
