This method of calculation and assumption has wide angle of usage, which in this topic we focus on detailed information about one specific black coal-fired power plant located in city Dětmarovice and also briefly to whole ČEZ coal-fired portfolio. The power plant is hold by the Czech biggest producer of electricity, ČEZ, a.s. All informations and calculations below were taken from public data and mediated by ČEZ REMIT[ ]site and OTE [ ]site. We will answer the question, if Dětmarovice power plant produces electricity according by Day ahead market prices or not. Also on basic on this assumption and further calculations we are able to say what is their Marginal price (variable costs) to produce 1 MWh. From business point of view, this work may be use as a determine of Total Merit Order of observed power plants. As a on going calculation there was picked only one power plant, where all our results will be shown, however this calculation has been done for all ČEZ, a.s. coal-fired power plants, so it is possible to assume their total Merit Order (more down below).
