The paper aims to analyze the state of advertising promotion of household electrical appliances in the Czechoslovak press in the 1930s. It will present the production possibilities of the Czechoslovak electrotechnical industry, the state of electrification, and the resulting consumer possibilities, as well as the role of the Czechoslovak Electrotechnical Association in controlling the production and promotion of appliances. The main part will be a quantitative and qualitative analysis of contemporary advertisements in four selected magazines. It will also include a study of the marketing of domestic electrical appliances within the broader context of research into the social aspects of electrification in the first half of the 20th century.
