Application of AHP Method for Choosing of Suitable Airplane in Air Cargo Transport

This article focuses on selecting a suitable airplane to ensure that a particular cargo is transported. An Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) was chosen to select an airplane. AHP is a multi-criteria decision-making method that divides the main decision target into smaller and more detailed elements. After compiling a set of criteria and creating a hierarchical structure, different variants are compared at each level of evaluation through the selected criteria. The result is given by weight on the relative scale for variants and criteria. At the conclusion of the article, the advantages and disadvantages of the AHP method and the consequent suitability of its use in air transport are presented.
