Models and calculations prepared and done in the frame of the LWA project in the field of the "procedures for non-destructive assessment of non-fissile material in large volume waste packages by detection of emitted photons" are summarized and discussed.Models and results for the 200 litres ISO drum with wastes in the concrete matrix, segmented gamma scanner calibration, heat exchanger (1st validation in-situ experiment) and ISO-container filed with drums with radioactive wastes (2nd validation experiment) are described. Corresponding MCNP input files are also presented.
