The preferential orientatiom or texture greatly effects the mechanical and magnetic properties of cold rolled sheets. The results of our experiments show quantitative texture analysis by means ODF. This method can be used successfully to study the effectof the production procedure on the resultant texture and on the final magnetic properties of the oriented transformer steel sheets.
