CTU in Prague regards itself as a very internationally-oriented university, both in teaching and in research. There are official bilateral agreements with universities in those countries where such agreements are useful, while in other countries collaboration is carried out on a less formal basis. There is also much additional collaboration at the level of faculties and departments. The university is deeply involved in student mobilities within the EU SOCRATES/ERASMUS programme. The ATHENS programmes also an important exchange activity. The university is a member of several international organisations and societies dealing with engineering education in general (e.g., SEFI, CESAER, IACEE) and societies dealing with specific branches of engineering education (e.g., AECEF, ENEN).
