Cities quickly reflect changes in global economy. We can witness the dilapidation of parts of the cities; big projects are stopped because of the crisis. At the same time the crisis may motivate the architects and stakeholders to look for novel solutions, come up with new ideas, propose new building processes or integrate additional participants in the design process. We welcome papers describing and analysing architectural solutions for urban housing as means of improving sustainability at the time ofcrisis. This may include the exploitation of provisional buildings and repurposing/re-functioning of existing buildings. The topics of interest also include relationships between architecture, urban design and urban housing, the ways how residential constructions can help to diminish the impact of crises and the reactions of new architectural and urban forms as a response to the changed urban conditions.
