Mariabruna Fabrizi: The Field and the Wall The work of Microcities is presented through two parallel paths: the architectural and urban projects of the office, on one side, and the exploration of topics collected through an evolving online Atlas (socks-studio.com), on the other. The two layers are deeply interconnected and they influence each other reciprocally. All the projects of the office are developed through research, competitions and commissions as well as through writings and curatorial activities. Mariabruna Fabrizi studied at the University of Roma Tre (Rome, Italy) and is a founder and partner of the Paris-based architectural office, Microcities. Together with Fosco Lucarelli she currently conducts an independent research through the website Socks-studio.com and is co-curating the main exhibition of the 2016 Architecture Lisbon Triennale, entitled "The Form of Form". Małgorzata Pizio-Domicz: Architecture and a small town The topic of the lecture is focused on architectural oeuvre of Małgorzata Pizio-Domicz (P-D), her first own projects and realisations created in state project offices and ones made in collaboration with her husband in a private office. M. i A. Domicz is a small family based architecture studio working on buildings in Opole (Poland) and close neighbourhood. Its projects are characterised by consequence and simplicity related to minimalism which is not a common and easy understanding of architecture in provincial towns similar in scale to Opole. Małgorzata Pizio-Domicz (1957) graduated architecture at Poznań University of Technology. She gained her MA in the studio of prof. Jerzy Gurawski in 1980. Between 1980 -1990 she was working in a state project offices. Since 1990 she is working with Antoni Domicz. Together they received the Honorary Award of SARP (Polish Association of Architects) in 2014, the highest award given to Polish architects for their lifetime achievements.
