Czech Modern Architecture. A Product of Synthesis
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
In the history of modern Czech architecture there are several periods that stand out during which building, culture, design, and the visual arts intersected in remarkable ways. It is certainly no accident that it is structures from those periods that both the professional community and the lay public are proudest of today and have the easiest time embracing. All of them based on the same multicultural central European atmosphere. To sum up, the standout periods that form the backbone of modern Czech architecture were characterised by a complex, synthetic approach to the work and often also inspiration from types of work usually created on a different scale, such as the visual arts, industrial design, scenography, nature, and machines. Another characteristic feature was the ability in difficult conditions to creatively improvise in order to ultimately achieve an outstanding result.
