Sustainable Transition in Age-Friendly Community Centres - Transition Design Workshop 4 in Kolding
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The world's population is ageing. Europeans are currently experiencing longer lifespans than ever before, leading to significant changes in society's age distribution. This creates an urgent need for a systematic transition in an ageing society, in particular a design approach that explores the sustainable transformation of regional ageing communities. Ageing has also become prominent in Denmark, with 20.49% of people aged 65 and over by 2022, and this figure is expected to reach 24.42% by 2050. The aim of this workshop is to explore the sustainable transition of a future ageing community centre in Kolding with local residents of the area in the context of ageing in Denmark. Using Transition Design as a research methodology, thinking and designing with a longer term perspective and looking towards a sustainable future based on a reconceptualisation of the whole way of life in the area, a more historical view of in-depth analyses explores a systematic approach to design. This workshop was done in collaboration with Designskolen Kolding, Denmark.
