The present phase of economic development revealed the need for creation of methodology for rational choice of medical equipment for health facilities. The article describes one of the most important stages of creation of methodology for optimal choice of the MR-imager and concerns identification of main characteristics for their purchase. In order to identify the most important characteristics we have created a MR-imagers database, which contains data concerning MR-imaging units. The main reason for creation of the DB is the fact that existing information about MR-imagers is not organized. In the next stage the system of web based questioning of professionals was created. This system concerns primary characteristics of MR-imagers from the point of view of the rational choice during their purchase. The task of these professionals was to evaluate the importance of the MR-imagers' characteristics in terms of subsequent choice of MR-imager.
