Laser ablation as an alternative pharmacological treatment of cardiac arrhythmia
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Catheter ablation is now becoming an accepted method and is the basis of nonpharmacological therapy in patients refractory to pharmacologic therapy. Pulmonary vein isolation is the most common method for the treatment of paroxysmal and permanent atrial arrhythmia under the name of atrial fibrillation (AF). Clinical practice shows that with paroxysmal AF can be achieved at least partial success for chronic AF, the situation is much more complicated due to the complexity of the substrate fibrillation. Forcatheter ablation can be used several types of energy sources. Into clinical practice got radiofrequency energy, laser energy source, and based on the principle of cooling cryotechnology. And laser energy appears to be the most promising non-pharmacological treatments for chronic AF. For this reason I have therefore focused on the study of this type of energy. Another no less important application of the laser energy is removing arrhythmogenic foci involved in ventricular tachyarrhythmi
