Resistance of Self-Compacting Concrete at the Action of Changing Freezing and Thawing
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
With the growing interest in using SCC and the complexity of the mixture proportioning, it is essential to better understand the effect of mixture parameters govering material performance. Limited data on performance of SCC, mainly durability led to experiments on the frost resistance of SCC realized in the frame of this grant. From results of the properties measurements of hardened SCC follows that values of e.g. contraction are similar to values of normal concrete - 0.05%. Surface layers are homogeneous without surface defects. From this fact follows that the permeability of SCC decreased and, hence, permeating of components of the surrounding, incl. water is also lowered. As concerns frost resistance of SCC - it is possible to conclude, that the test results of SCC are comparable with frost resistance of normal concrete. However, in some cases resistance was higher. The additional research is needed
