The paper presents the interim outputs of a project that deals with the digitalization of the design, pre-production, and production processes of a company that supplies more than four hundred prefabricated timber houses per year. The research aimed to analyse the current business processes, from communication with the client to the production and delivery of the turnkey house, make recommendations for maximizing the digitization of these processes, design a software solution, and prepare digital models and techniques to work with them. This paper will present the part that deals with optimizing pre-production processes. All the processes were analyzed, including communication with the client, setting up the client configurations, creating construction documentation for a building permit, creating production documentation, and transferring data for production machines to a production facility. It was then proposed to convert this workflow into a digital form, which initially uses BIM (software Archicad) to communicate with the client and produce documents for a building permit. A new process was proposed to convert the model into SEMA software and create documentation for the production machines. Finally, a comparison was made of the efficiency of this process against the original company process.
