Loess-palaeosol records in Siberia represent a significant source of proxy data for reconstruction of past climates and climate change in the Northern Hemisphere. High resolution stratigraphic sub-aerial deposit sections in the main Ob, Yenisei and Angara River basins provide evidenc e for a strongly fluctuating climatic change in northern Asia for the last ca. 250 000 years.
