Sound Absorption Coefficient of Porous Ceramic Materials.
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
The sound absorption coefficient of composite samples made from the ceramic particulate material Liapor in a polybutadiene adhesive matrix was investigated by varying the particle size and thickness of the samples. Tests were performed with three different fractions of Liapor, with particle size varying from 0 to 2 mm, 2 to 4 mm and 0 to 4 mm. From each fraction, planar samples having relative thicknesses of 20, 30, 40, and 50 mm were prepared. For each sample, the sound absorption characteristics wereobtained using a B&K model 4206 two-microphone impedance tube. The testing system allowed the sound absorption coefficient to be measured for a wave normal to the absorber plane with a frequency in the range of 50 to 6400 Hz. The effects of thickness, density, and particle size of samples on the sound absorption coefficient were observed. By lowering the particle size and by increasing the sample thickness the absorption characteristics were improved. The composite made from smaller part
