The Interrelations between Processing, Structure and Degradability of Isotactic Polypropylene
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This work focuses on the interrelations between the processing, structure and degradability of isotactic polypropylene (iPP). The structure evolution in the material during processing and also during UV-irradiation is characterized on the molecular, supermolecular and microscopic levels. Special attention is devoted to individual crystalline phases of iPP and their structural transformations; lamellar, fibrillar and eventually spherulitic morphologies are carefully characterised. Specimens are preparedunder controlled crystallization (processing) conditions and specific α- and β-nucleating agents are applied. A strong effect of crystallization temperature and content of β-nucleating agent on β-phase formation is observed. The addition of α-nucleating agent causes the formation of very fine spherulitic structure of α-phase even if the β-nucleating agent is present in the material. The UV-exposure leads to the incorporation of carbonyl grou
