Impact of the Cutting Speed on the Surface Quality by Waterjet Cutting
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This publication is a part of technology of production that uses known physical and chemical effects for material reduction. The above mentioned technology is called unconventional or progressive. Abrasive Water Jet Machining (AWJ) is widely used for machining of all engineering materials, metallic and non-metallic included. Surface topography when AWJ machining has not been deeply explored yet. As well as in case of other highly-energetic jet technologies, there was left visible channelling on the machined surface when AWJ had been used. This channelling substantially affects dimensional accuracy and quality of the finished surface. The aim of this paper was to prove impact of one technological parameter ? cutting speed ? on final surface roughness. Experiments were made in cooperation with Sazovice, s.r.o. company (Limited Liability Company). Slopes of the straight lines and correlation coefficients of graphic results show character of these dependencies. Finally, results of surface
