Nowadays, wood fiber-polypropylene composites (WPC) have been widely used in the building sector as well as the automobile industry. In the way to enhance adhesion between hydrophilic polymer and hydrophilic filler, a particular characterization of lignocellulosic material such as a softwood and hardwood including as a polymeric matrix polypropylene (PP), a physical preliminary treatment was carried out. Composites were prepared by two different types of extruders. The former group was compounded by twin screw extruder; meanwhile the latter one was extruded on single screw extruder. In this work, characterization of composites with hardwood and softwood are described. Their properties were determined by differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), wide-angle X-ray scattering (WAXS) and rheological measurement. The crystallization of PP was not influenced very significantly. However, by thermal properties some differences between composites with hardwood and softwood were found. The goal of
