Vietnam has recently achieved the remarkable development in logistics services and becomed one of the emerging logistics markets in the world. According to the World Bank’s rankings in 2018, Vietnam is ranked at the 39th place out of 160 countries in the Logistics Performance Index (LPI). In ASEAN, Vietnam’s logistics ranking is at the 3rd place, after Singapore and Thailand. The surveyed results from Vietnam Logistics Report 2019 indicates that one of the main trends in logistics development in Vietnam is IT applications. By the adoption of IT, it is possible to improve several activities in logistics services including reduction of costs, improvement on warehouse system, management of transportation as well as customer services.
