Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Research background: Online shopping behavior is influenced by various psychological and so-cial factors that shape consumer purchasing decisions. Understanding these influences is essen-tial for developing effective marketing strategies, improving the purchasing process, and adapting to consumer preferences and technological advancements.Purpose of the article: This study aims to evaluate the impact of selected psychological and so-cial factors on consumer behavior in online shopping, specifically focusing on trust, risk percep-tion, internet experience, and social network exposure. Methods: An online questionnaire survey was conducted on a representative sample of the Czech internet population. Pearson’s Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationships between trust, risk perception, internet experience, and exposure to social networks.Findings and value added: A significant gender difference in risk perception was confirmed, with women perceiving online shopping as riskier than men. However, trust levels did not significantly affect shopping frequency. More experienced internet users perceived lower risk and shopped more frequently. Social network exposure had no statistically significant impact on online shopping behavior. These findings provide insights for optimizing online retail strategies and serve as a basis for future research on the psychological and social factors influencing e-commerce behavior.
