Pearson’s Chi-square test was used to analyze the relationships between trust, risk perception, internet experience, and exposure to social networks.Findings and value added: A significant gender difference in risk perception was confirmed, with women perceiving online shopping as riskier than men. However, trust levels did not significantly affect shopping frequency. More experienced internet users perceived lower risk and shopped more frequently.
