Theories and Practices Conference held on 7 to 8 September 2011 in the premises of Tomas Bata University in Zlín. It was the third year of international conference for Anglicists Americanists focusing on issues in linguistics, literature and cultural studies. The total number of participants was 52, including 17 foreign (Slovak Republic, Poland, Romania, Lithuania, the United States and Sweden). The conference helped to establish new forms of cooperation between the participating universities and to thedevelopment and internationalization of the organizing institution.
