This publication thoroughly mapped so far neglected factors in the academic career Novice worker. The author presents a personal, professional and academic potentiality that influence professional as well as personal life of a young academic. The publication presents the findings of research that was carried out with early academics working on Czech universities. Their professional goals, such barriers, personal decisions, are subject to disclosure in each chapter. The monograph is clear chronology of the changes which the young academic staff passes from the beginning of doctoral studies up to the establishment of the university. The monograph is published in English.
