Das vorliegende Buch enthält eine kritische Edition ausgewählter Texte von deutschreibenden Autoren, deren Leben oder Schaffen, meistens aber beides, mit der Mährischen Walachei verbunden waren. Hierbei handelt es sich insgesamt um elf Texte von unterschiedlichem Umfang, die im Verlauf der zweiten Hälfte des 19. und der ersten Hälfte des 20. Jahrhunderts entstanden und möglichst viele Facetten der deutschwalachischen Literatur zeigen. Die Grundkonzeption dieser Quellenedition kann man folgendermaßen umreißen: Die einzelnen Quellentexte, nicht in allen Fällen komplette Werke, werden anhand eines einheitlichen Rasters von Kategorien bearbeitet. Man findet hier grundsätzliche Informationen über die Originalfassung des Textes und den Verfasser, Charakteristik der Quelle, Bibliografie und eine bündige Interpretation des Textes.

This book offers a critical edition of selected works of German authors whose life and works, mostly both, were connected with Moravian Wallachia. It involves eleven texts of different volume that were written in the course of the second half of the 19th century and the first half of the 20th century and show as many facets of German Wallachian literature as possible. The basic concept of this edition is as follows. The individual texts, not in all cases whole works, are edited on the basis of a uniform matrix of terms. Each chapter consists of basic information about the original version of the text and the author, characteristics of the source, bibliography and a brief interpretation of the text.
