Three dimension Mn2/Pd/carbon cloth (MnPdCC) hybrid electrodes were preparated by two-step electromechanical deposition of palladium nanoparticles and MnO2 on the surface of activated carbon cloth. With a view to enhance the electrochemical performance, this material was coated by poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)-poly(styrenesulfonate) (PEDOT:PSS). The decoration of Pd nanoparticles onto activated carbon cloth varies the nucleation mechanism of the MnO2 species. The morphology and size distribution of the nanoparticles was characterized by scanning electron microscopy. The electrochemical performance of materials obtained were measured by cyclic voltammetry, galvanostatic charge/discharge and impedance spectroscopy.
