Multi-Stakeholder Engagement Strengthening and Advocating Sustainable Practices of Emerging Technologies (MESS-Age)
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
This study emphasized the important role and participation of different stakeholders, referred to as multi-stakeholder initiatives (MSIs). The significance of multi-stakeholder initiatives highlights the cooperation between various participants, including scientists, policymakers, industry leaders, businesses, civil society groups, citizens, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), as well as public and private investors. In practice, MSIs represent a systematic strategy employed by organizations to engage key stakeholders and individuals who have or may exert significant influence over the organization's environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. Therefore, it is necessary to mention that multi-stakeholder initiatives are primarily aimed at enhancing sustainable practices for emerging technologies, allowing businesses or firms to involve indigenous peoples in decision-making processes to foster their existing innovative capabilities as well as to effectively address and contribute to positive social change. In order to meet the advancement of international public policy strategies, MSIs are aimed at fostering sustainable business practices that serve as a catalyst for achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs). Consequently, contemporary organizations are increasingly pursuing collaborations that emphasize emerging technologies and their varied applications, which can help address the fragmented assessment of environmental, social, and economic aspects of sustainability, thereby overcoming barriers to its broader implementation.
