Begleitende Publikation zur Ausstellung von Archivdokumenten "Handel im Herzen Europas". Die Publikation enthält zahlreiche Archivalien zur komplexen Entwicklung der tschechoslowakisch-deutschen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen im 20. Jahrhundert. Mit der Absicht, die Fülle der Quellen aus tschechischen, deutschen und slowakischen Archiven der Fachwelt und der breiten Öffentlichkeit zu präsentieren, enthält das Buch sowohl Schlüsseldokumente, die den Gesamtrahmen der wirtschaftlichen Beziehungen prägten, als auch solche, die das Ergebnis des "wirtschaftlichen Alltags" waren, d.h. der Verflechtung der wirtschaftlichen Interessen von Einzelpersonen und Interessengruppen, großen und kleinen Unternehmen, Produzenten und Konsumenten, Händlern und Kunden. Die Publikation ist das Ergebnis einer mehrjährigen Archivrecherche, deren Ziel es war, einen Beitrag zur Weiterentwicklung der Forschung über die tschechoslowakisch-deutschen Wirtschaftsbeziehungen zu leisten und damit zu einem besseren Verständnis unserer jüngsten Vergangenheit beizutragen.

Accompanying publication to the exhibition of archival documents "Trading in the Heart of Europe". The publication contains many archival materials relating to the complex development of Czechoslovak-German economic relations in the 20th century. With the intention of presenting the wealth of sources from Czech, German and Slovak archives to the professional and general public, the book includes both key documents that shaped the overall framework of economic relations and those that were the result of 'economic everyday life', i.e. the intermingling of economic interests of individuals and interest groups, large and small enterprises, producers and consumers, traders and customers. The publication is the result of several years of archival research, the aim of which was to contribute to the further development of research on Czechoslovak-German economic relations, and thus to help better understand our recent past.
