Service Oriented Architecture is the next stage of development of enterprise information systems. These systems are composed of interconnected processes that are built on services and, as such, communicate with each other. These services can work together on various platforms. For business this means removing the problem of integrating different packages and application packages enterprise resource planning (ERP) or customer relationship management (CRM). The article deals with the current state of service-oriented services and Web services in businesses and government in the Czech Republic. They find the reasons of little use SOA. At the end the solution are determined for larger deployments or alternative solutions.
