The issue of drug abuse in therapeutic terms or others accompanies mankind since the old ages. We find solutions to this problem already in the works of Hippocrates - Canon Medicorum. Hippocrates already knew about ópium. Paracelsus dealth with a similarissue of drug use, who claimed that every drug is poison, and it only depends on the dosage when the drug is medicíne and when its poison. It is most likely that their knowledge of drugs came from the use in therapeutical methods, as they also mention the medical ethics and we still since than declare the Hippocratic oath.
