Subsidy Policy of the European Union for Regionally Focused Programmes in the EU

The paper deals with the subsidy policy of the European Union in the sense of analysing the rate of subsidy support form regionally focused programmes financed from the Cohesion Policy. The subject matter for the analysis is regional operational programmes, initiatives of the European Community and operational programmes constituted on the basis of European territorial co-operation. The analysis also includes parts of sector oriented operational programmes which have a significant regional impact on thequality of life of especially rural regions, the environment protection, regional infrastructure, or regional economy. The paper briefly analyses the period before the Czech Republic entered the European Union and more in detail the periods of 2004-2006and 2017-2013.
