This book describes the historical and technical development of one of the Ostrava agglomeration’s most prominent metallurgical complexes: the New Metalworks (Nová huť). The book is divided into three main chapters: The historical context, Historical development of individual plants and production units (coke production, agglomeration, blast furnaces, steelworks, rolling plants, tube works, forge, machine works, foundry, power generation), and Production technologies and the technological flow. It includes diagrams of the main production facilities and photographs.
