This article focuses on one of the important purpose of school mathematics, namely how to make the student to be a better math problem solver. It discusses the possibilities and strategies in solving problems. It shows that the research approach in the field of mathematical research is a method that enables pupils and students to make experiments and find solutions to various mathematical problems. It shows further that an important aspect of education is to make pupils and students to know the creative aspect of mathematics as a way to self-finding solutions of different mathematical problems. This creative approach is shown here on the problems of finding the greatest common divisor of natural numbers.
