Tests of a CdZnTe detector during a new portal monitor development
Popis výsledku v původním jazyce
Due to increasing risks of teroristic attacks a new portal monitor is being developed. Assuming measurements in public places or during social events, e.g. concerts, museums or airports, selected detectors have been tested. Owing to small sizes, good spectrometric properties and ease of use CdZnTe detectors are suitable for emergency preparedness and surveillance purposes. Therefore the chosen CdZnTe detector was considered as possible complementary spectrometric device in new portal gates. Within tests performing, several measurements and Monte Carlo simulations of the GR1-A detector were prepared. Presented at the 7th International Conference on Radioactivity in the Arctic & other Vulnerable Environments, 18.-20.6.2018, Oslo, Norway.
