The influence of change agents on organization design
Anotace anglicky
Recent debates draw attention to the role of change agents in organization design. Although scholars emphasize the role of designers/change agents in organization design, only few attempts have been made to explore the influence of change agents on organizational design. Previous research focused mostly on the stage of implementation and neglected the preceeding stage of development of the alternatives of future organization design. Thus, this research explores how professional experience and background of change agents determines the perception on organization design and how this perception, in turn, determines the the development of alternatives for future organization design. The research employs qualitative approach using a multiple case study research design. Cases include organizations with ongoing organizational structure change as the central component of organization design. The project results will have implications for upper echelons theory and organization design theory.
