    On and Off-shell Superspace Representations

    This project addresses the fundamental challenge of constructing off-shell representations in supersymmetric quantum field theories. By combining the nilpotence variety formalism with the Batalin-Vilkovisky (BV) framework, we will develop systematic methods to generalize superspace techniques, elucidating the role of auxiliary fields, classify dualities among multiplets and establish rigorous on-shell/off-shell correspondences. These advances will enable calculations in theories with extended supersymmetry, significantly enhancing our understanding of string theory and high-dimensional supersymmetric field theories. While the motivation stems from physics, the methods are deeply rooted in modern mathematics—from derived geometry to homotopical algebra. This synergy makes our team ideally suited to advance the field: the physicists’ expertise in supersymmetric phenomena is complemented by mathematicians experienced in bridging abstract structures with physical applications.
