Project results evaluation
Increase of polyacetylene and ginsenoside production in elicitated ginseng root cultures is regulated mostly by jasmonate signalling pathways. Production of ginsedosides and majority of polyacetylenes was increased by coronatine and jasmonic acid addition. Antiinflammatory COX-2 inhibition and anticancer activity against colon adenocarcinoma lines in vitro was correlated with polyacetylene amount.
