Fuzzy set theory as a foundation of fuzzy mathematics

Project goals

The project will study fuzzy set theories as foundational theories for fuzzy mathematics, in cooperation with Japanese colleagues. Team members will systematically investigate and combine several approaches that have previously been developed by both Czech and Japanese investigators. An important goal of the project is generalization of the methods and results in formal fuzzy set theory to a broader class of substructural logics, including linear logic and monoidal logic.

    The project "Fuzzy set theory as foundation of fuzzy mathematics" resulted in better undestanding of fuzzy set theories, fuzzy and substructural logics, initiation of Czech-Japan collaboration in this area, 30 conference and seminar talks, and submissionof two papers (one already accepted for publication) in prestigious international journals.
