This pathogenic bacterium is characterized by an unique cell envelope a dominant feature of M. tuberculosis. Thisextremely robust and impermeable cell envelope is a crucial factor of virulence and resistance of M. tuberculosis. Mycobacterial glycosyltransferases belong to a dominating group of enzymes playing crucial role in synthesis of mycobacterial cell wall. Rv3782 is one of the important enzymes for synthesis of mycobacterial cell wall. For its expression was created new expression vector pMTW.
