Occurrence of mastitis infections in goat milk and their relation to other milk parameters
Original language description
We have investigated mastitis pathogens occurrence in goat milk (n=60) and their influence on other indicators: somatic cell count, lactose, titration acidity, milk freezing point (MFP), casein content (CAS ), electrical conductivity, Na concentration and fat. In total 40 species were identified: E. faecalis was the most frequent species (n=14), then S. aureus (n=10), L. garvieae (n=9), S. lentus (n=1), S. uberis (n=1) and Streptococcus spp. (n=5). According to statistical ANOVA results we have found out that the occurrence of mastitis pathogens was statistically significant only in milk freezing point (p<0.01). The similar results in MFP were obtained by non-parametric tests (Kolmogorov-Smirnov - p<0.025 and Mann-Whitney U tests - p<0.01). In additionthere was found out also statistically significant difference (p<0.05) in CAS.
