Labour mobility and its impact on knowledge transfer
Original language description
The article carries out results of a survey of the impact of labour mobility on knowledge transfer and recommends, based on the results of primary research, addressing the situation in organisations today. When employees leave an organisation (in terms of turnover) or change their job (in terms of horizontal and vertical mobility), the organisation has to ensure the knowledge transfer from the leaver to his/her successor. The basis for effective sharing and knowledge transfer is a good organisational climate at work where it can lead to a higher motivation for knowledge sharing in the organisation. It is very important that employees understand the importance of sharing and transferring their knowledge. Thus the organisation should support knowledge transfer in every department using support instruments of stimulation (bonuses, gratuities, recognition and promotion) so that transfer and knowledge sharing can be accepted by employees.
