The paper is the concept of the teacher's role as facilitator of the inquiry-based science education /IBSE/ in pre-primary and primary school teachers. It presents the experience from the project focused on the new constructive approach in teaching. ThePri-Sci-Net project was aimed at creating a practical verification of new teaching strategies prepared for children from 3 to 11 years in collaboration with 17 universities whose teams created a handbook for the development of discovery competencies of students. The named manual is available in national languages with access to the site. The ISBE educational activities have gone through a series of assessments by teacher trainers in their school practice. The Training of teachers in IBSE teaching strategies supervised by PF UJEP was held in the presence of nearly 200 teachers and the number of supporters is continuously increasing. The participants of the sessions and workshops have achieve not only the knowledge of the inquiry approach
