The first results are here presented of the International Conference entitled The world at school or study travels as part of education. Transformations in pedagogical knowledge, school curriculum and teacher professional development, which was held on the National Pedagogical Museum and Library of J.A. Comenius in Prague between 20-21 June 2024. The Conference was the occasion to discuss on the concept of study travel meant as the exchange and transfer of pedagogical knowledge and ideas through travels, conferences, journals, and study trips. The aim was to analyse how the international transfer of educational experiences and ideas formed the basis- from medieval to modern age- for the development of national education systems and for the advancement of educational enlightenment.
