In a three-year period (2000?2002) total tocols (tocopherols and tocotrienols), content of vitamin E and its isomers (?-, ?+?-, ?-tocopherols and tocotrienols) were assessed in grain of 13 barley genotypes. The highest content of tocols and content of vitamin E were determined in the waxy varieties Wanubet, Wabet, and Washonubet. Chemical treatment and fertilization statistically significantly increased the content of tocols, vitamin E, isomer ?-tocopherol and isomer ?-tocotrienols.

Czech description
Ve tříletém období (2000-2002) byly hodnoceny celkové tokoly (tokoferoly a tokotrienoly), obsah vitaminu E a jeho izomerů (?-, ?+?-, ?-tokoferoly a tokotrienoly) v zrnu 13 genotypů ječmene. Nejvyšší obsah tokolů a vitaminu E byl zjištěn u waxy odrůd Wanubet, Wabet a Washonubet. Obsah tokolů, vitaminu E, izomeru ?-tokoferolu a izomeru ?-tokotrienolu byl statisticky průkazně zvýšen chemickým ošetřením a hnojením.
