This paper focuses on analysing the usage of QR codes in retailing. Consumers may meet them indoors and outdoors in various formats in the Czech Republic. But the question arises of whether the potential of this technology has been used sufficiently andeffectively. Research carried out at the Faculty of Economics (University of West Bohemia) revealed that only a fraction of Czech customers utilise QR codes for their purchases. This paper summarizes appropriate measures to increase the rate of QR code usage by retail customers from the experience of other countries.
