La théorie des prototypes est bien opérationnelle dans le domaine de l?analyse textuelle du discours : une occurrence concr?te d?une unité textuelle peut ?tre décrite en référence aux schéma prototypique de la séquence textuelle, m?me si le degré de typicité de cette unité est relativement bas. Les rôles pragmatiques des structures syntaxiques que nous analysons dans notre article se constituent dans le cadre de la séquence textuelle. Nous insistons sur le fait que les fonctions argumentatives des connecteurs sont inséparables de leurs fonctions textuelles.

Teorie prototypů je velmi dobře aplikovatelná i v oblasti textové analýzy diskurzu. Ukazuje se, že popis konkrétní okurence textových jednotek je vhodné provádět ve vztahu k příslušnému prototypickému schématu textové sekvence, a to i v případě, že stupeň typičnosti zkoumané jednotky je nízký. Syntaktické struktury úryvku z Románu o růži, který v článku rozebíráme, mají specifické pragmatické role, které se konstituují v rámci textové sekvence. V našich analýzách klademe důraz na to, že popis konektorůnelze redukovat pouze na popis jejich argumentativní funkce, ale že je třeba brát v úvahu i funkce textově-strukturační.
