Aim of this work was to establish protoplast culture of Allium ursinum and A. schoenoprasum belonging to plants with wide-ranging spectrum of health benefits. The influence of electric field (AC, DC and combination), grow regulators and sugar type was tested. With some modifications, the protoplasts were isolated and affected by electric field according to protocol http://www.vubhb.cz/_te.asp?f=institute/06dogr-protocols-mfpep.htm. Regeneration ability was observed in different time and intensity. The application of direct current in one pulse seemed to be useful for starting of cell division.
