    Structure-activity relationship of acetylcholinesterase reactivators

  • Original language description

There is no single acetylcholinesterase reactivator for the treatment of various nerve agent or pesticide poisoning. Consequently, there is a demand for the development of a universal so-called broad-spectrum reactivator. Unfortunately, such reactivatorwas not prepared yet. The relationship between chemical structure of currently available oximes and their reactivation activity should be known to design such reactivator. Particularly, the reactivator´s structuralrequirements needed for the sufficient reactivation process have to be summarized.
