Barley varieties registered in the Slovak Republic in 2006

In 2006, the malting varieties of spring barley Marnie, Nadir, Timori, and Xanadu were registered in the Slovak Republic. The variety Marnie had extract content ca 81.9 %, activity of hydrolytic enzymes was high, which was reflected in high degree of attenuation. The variety Nadir had extract content ca 82.2 %, activity of proteolytic and amylolytic enzymes was high, modification of cell wall modification was lower and it exhibited high degree of attenuation. The variety Timori had extract content ca 80.2 %, activity of proteolytic and amylolytic enzymes was optimum but activity of cytolytic enzymes was low. The advantages of this variety is low lipoxygenase activity. The extract content in the variety Xanadu was ca 82.9 %, activity of the followed hydrolytic enzymes was high, degree of attenuation was high. Further, the non-malting spring barley variety Argument. In autumn 2005 two-row varieties of winter barley were registered Amsterdam, Graciosa, Premuda, Reni, Tarifa, and Vanessa.

Ve Slovenské republice byly v roce 2006 registrovány sladovnické odrůdy jarního ječmene Marnie, Nadir, Timori a Xanadu. Odrůda Marnie vykazovala obsah extraktu na úrovni 81,9 %, aktivita hydrolytických enzymů byla vysoká, což se projevilo na vysoké úrovni prokvašení. Odrůda Nadir měla obsah extraktu na úrovni 82,2 %, aktivitu proteolytických a amylolytických enzymů měla vysokou, úroveň rozluštění buněčných stěn měla nižší a vykazovala vysokou úroveň prokvašení. Timori vykazovala obsah extraktu na úrovni80,2 %, aktivita proteolytických a amylolytických enzymů byla optimální, ale aktivita cytolytických enzymů byla nízká. Předností odrůdy je nízká aktivita lipoxigenázy. U odrůdy Xanadu byl obsah extraktu na úrovni 82,9 %, aktivita sledovaných hydrolytických enzymů byla vysoká, úroveň prokvašení byla vysoká.
