Barley varieties registered in the Slovak republic in 2008

In 2008 following malting varieties of spring barley were registered in the Slovak Republic: Shakira, Blaník, Levan and Prodeum. Malt of the varieties Levan and Prodeum provided above average extract content and high activity of all three followed groupsof enzymes. Malt of the varieties Blaník and Shakira provided average extract content in malt. Activity of proteolytic and amylolytic enzymes was optimum. Cytolytic modification in the variety Shakira was above average and average to below average in the variety Blaník. All four varieties mentioned above provided high attenuating worts. Spring barley varieties Aktiv and Azit were registered as the non malting varieties. In autumn 2007, a two-row variety of winter barley Babette and varieties of six-rowwinter barleys Heidi and Wendy were registered.

Czech description

Ve Slovenské republice byly v roce 2008 registrovány sladovnické odrůdy jarního ječmene Shakira, Blaník, Levan a Prodeum. Slad odrůd Levan a Prodeum poskytoval nadprůměrný obsah extraktu a vysokou aktivitu všech tří sledovaných skupin enzymů. Slad odrůdBlaník a Shakira poskytoval průměrný obsah extraktu. Aktivita proteolytických a amylolytických enzymů byla optimální. Cytolytické rozluštění bylo u odrůdy Shakira nadprůměrné, u odrůdy Blaník průměrné až podprůměrné.Všechny čtyři uvedené odrůdy poskytovaly hluboce prokvašující sladiny. Jako nesladovnické byly registrovány odrůdy jarního ječmene Aktiv a Azit. Na podzim roku 2007 byla registrovaná odrůda dvouřadého ozimého ječmene Babette a odrůdy víceřadého ozimého ječmene Heidi a Wendy.
